Located just south of the equator, Tanzania is the largest an East African country: area 945,087 sq km (364,900 sq miles); it includes the islands of Zanzibar, Pemba, and Mafia. Tanzania is bordered by the Indian Ocean and countries – Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Zambia, Malawi, and Mozambique. Official name: United Republic of Tanzania (Swahili: Jamhuri ya Muungano wa Tanzania).Tanzania’s national and political capital is  Dodoma (before Dar Es Salaam). Official languages: Kiswahili or Swahili, English(There is a total of 126 languages spoken in Tanzania).
